ADMISSION COUNSELOR

ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER (Part-Time)

Culver-Stockton College is seeking qualified candidates for the part-time position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.  C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12-3 academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation.  C-SC fields 18 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) and the Mid-American Men’s Volleyball Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MAMVIC).

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing all aspects of appropriate care, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation for intercollegiate athletes within an NAIA Department of Athletics. The Athletic Trainer is expected to support the mission and values of the College. Reporting directly to the Head Athletic Trainer and the Director of Athletics, the Athletic Trainer provides service to the Athletics Department and may serve as an approved clinical preceptor.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DINING SERVICES

Culver-Stockton College is accepting application materials for the position of Food Service Assistant Manager.  The Food Service Assistant Manager is responsible for the operation management of assigned residential dining facilities and will assist the Food Service Director to provide a system of quality food production and service for students, staff, faculty, visitors and summer programs.  Responsibilities will also include menu development, customer service, food production, handling and storage, quality control, and health and safety of the department.  The Food Service Assistant Manager must be willing and available to be on campus to provide support as needed for all food service operations on campus.

Qualifications include an associate’s degree in food or culinary management, hotel, restaurant, institutional or hospitality management or related field; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Strong experience and demonstrated ability in management in a foodservice establishment is required and experience in higher education is preferred.  Qualified candidates must have a current certification in ServeSafe (HACCP) or must be able to obtain certification prior to employment and must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, and have experience in employee relations and training, sanitation, cost-effective food production, and must have the ability to communicate effectively with the different populations of the campus community.

ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF COMMUNICATION

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Culver-Stockton College seeks to fill a full-time teaching position in Physical Education that will start in the Spring 2016 Semester with a scholar committed to the continued development and implementation of experiential learning and physical education theory, practice, and scholarship. 

Responsibilities will include teaching courses Adaptive Physical Education, Physical Growth and Motor Development, Measurement and Evaluation in Physical Education, PE methods, and other related courses; advising students; supervision of student teachers; and collaboration in ongoing evolution of innovative undergraduate programs.

The scholar appointed to this position will be expected to demonstrate:

• A focus on discovering new ways to conceptualize, enact, and evaluate experiential learning and education.
• A range of research methodologies and data, and mentoring students. 
• Knowledge of experiential education’s role within the field of instructional theory and design.
• Significant service to public or private school districts.
• An established record of excellence in teaching and a reputation in educational leadership and innovation.

COOK

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a responsible candidate for a full-time Cook. This position is responsible for the preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus. The cook also assists with the production of meals for special catering events. Other responsibilities include maintaining food quality and appearance, keeping accurate production records, and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment. This is a full-time position scheduled nights and weekends.

Minimum Requirements – Willing to work in college dining services setting. Proven ability to achieve a positive working relationship with all levels of employees and customers. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Previous related experience or education is helpful.

COORDINATOR OF STUDENT SUCCESS and INSTRUCTOR OF DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATION


Culver-Stockton College is accepting application materials for the full-time, 12 month position of Coordinator of Student Success and Instructor of Developmental Education. This position will teach 10-12 credit hours each semester in developmental math and college success classes and will serve as the course coordinator for developmental math. The Coordinator of Student Success will work with the Associate Dean for Academic Success to identify students having difficulty with academic, social, or emotional issues and will offer support and assistance through the PASS referral system. This position will also coordinate academic success education and resources for registration days and will contact students and complete distance registrations as well as plan, develop, and implement programming for Summer Bridge in August. The Coordinator of Student Success will also advise freshmen from overloaded majors and undecided students, staff the math lab for approximately 8 hours per week and assist with student recruitment as well as other duties necessary to help achieve the College’s mission and goals.

Qualifications for this position include a Master’s Degree in math, education, or related field and a Bachelor’s degree in math or a related field, along with 2-3 year of teaching experience. Excellent communication skills, ability to work well with others and strong organizational skills are also required. Experience teaching college students preferred.

DINING SERVICES WORKER (Part-Time)

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a part-time Dining Services Worker that will work during the academic year (10 months). This position will work alternating day and evening hours and shifts would include 7:00am – 2:00pm and/or 3:00pm – 7:30pm. This position will work in all areas of the foodservice area but will primarily work as the cashier’s table greeting customers as they enter the dining room and scanning ID cards or taking money and giving change as necessary. This position must remain friendly, helpful, attentive and knowledgeable of all areas in the dining room. Will help with maintaining the dining room cleanliness, will clean the tables with sanitizer and help stock the dining room and assist in other areas as necessary.

DIRECTOR OF DINING SERVICES

Culver-Stockton College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Dining Services.  The Director of Dining Services oversees a self-operated dining program that includes residential dining for approximately 800 students that includes multiple sites and menus, conferences/meetings and summer programs.  The Director of Dining Services is responsible for driving sales, controlling costs and enforcing food and physical safety programs as well as contract negotiations and management of food service industry vendors and suppliers.  The Food Service Director must be experienced in running a successful operation in a foodservice establishment and must be willing and available to be on campus to provide support as needed for all food service operations on campus.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in food or culinary management, hotel, restaurant, institutional or hospitality management.   A minimum of five years experience working in a commercial or institutional foodservice establishment dealing with volume cooking, contemporary catering and progressive administrative leadership including personnel and fiscal management and strategic planning with higher education experience preferred.  Qualified candidates must have a current certification in ServeSafe (HACCP) or must be able to obtain certification prior to employment and must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, outstanding hospitality, excellent customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with the different populations of the campus community.

HEAD MEN’S VOLLEYBALL COACH/FACILITY COORDINATOR

RESIDENT DIRECTOR

Culver-Stockton College is seeking two responsible candidates for the quarter-time position of Resident Director.  These are 10-month, live-in positions that play a key role in the Residence Life’s Department goal of ensuring a living learning environment conducive to the personal development for approximately 800 students living on campus.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: establishing a presence in the hall as a live-in professional staff member, assisting the Community Assistant in assessing the needs of the residents, communicating facility concerns, dealing with problematic situations, and responding to emergency situations as needed.  The Resident Director will also participate in an on-call rotation for evening and weekends.

Bachelor’s degree required and 2 years experience working with college aged students preferred.  Ability to work on nights and weekends and will participate in a rotation with 2 other Resident Directors.
