ADMISSION COUNSELOR

Assistant Football Coach

Culver-Stockton College is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of Assistant Football Coach. C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12-3 academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation. Culver-Stockton College fields 18 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference.

In accordance with all NAIA, Heart of America Athletic Conference and Culver-Stockton College policies and procedures, the position of Assistant Football Coach will report to the Head Football Coach and will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of a competitive NAIA football program within the guidelines of the NAIA and assisting the head coach with recruiting responsibilities and other job duties as assigned.

Candidates should have successful experience coaching at the collegiate level and have the ability to recruit and motivate student –athletes. The successful candidate must also demonstrate a strong commitment to academic success and compliance with NAIA, HAAC and institutional policies and procedures. CAMPUS SAFETY OFFICER

Culver-Stockton College has an immediate opening for a full time Campus Safety Officer.  This is a 12-month position that will have responsibilities in both security and physical plant.  Work hours for this position will vary and include shifts on days, nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide 24 hour coverage as needed.  During the academic year primary responsibilities will include security work such as securing and opening buildings, conducting investigations, report writing, issuing tickets for policy violations, safety checks, patrols and other assigned duties related to basic maintenance tasks.  During the summer months responsibilities will include working with the physical plant on tasks such as mowing, basic landscaping work, trash removal, painting and assisting other physical plant staff with projects.

The candidate must be prepared for physically demanding activities and must be able to spend long periods of time on their feet and traverse all types of terrain in all types of weather.  Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs frequently, and to lift and carry weights of up to 75 pounds. Excellent teamwork and people skills are critical due to frequent contact and interaction with faculty, staff, and students.  A current driver’s license is required along with computer experience and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.  Must have a strong ability to communicate effectively by radio or telephone in stressful conditions and prior safety/security experience a plus but is not required.

Cook

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a responsible candidate for a full-time Cook.  This position is responsible for the preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus.  The cook also assists with the production of meals for special catering events.  Other responsibilities include maintaining food quality and appearance, keeping accurate production records, and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment.  This is a full-time position scheduled nights and weekends.

Minimum Requirements – Willing to work in college dining services setting.  Proven ability to achieve a positive working relationship with all levels of employees and customers.  Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.  Previous related experience or education is helpful.

DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT FOR ANNUAL AND LEADERSHIP GIVING

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Advancement for Annual and Leadership Giving.  This position will be responsible for overseeing the success of the Annual Fund for Student Scholarships including implementation of fundraising strategies, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of current and future donors.  A concentration on leadership annual fund gifts will be a priority, while also implementing strategies for growing alumni gift participation rates and support from individual and corporate friends.  An average of five face-to-face donor contacts weekly in addition to phone and email contacts will be expected as well as other duties as necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

Requirements include having completed college coursework in a related field along with experience in relationship-based work such as sales or marketing with an understanding of philanthropy, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Qualified applicants must have a professional background of meeting established goals and objectives in a timely manner related to the areas of sales, marketing or fundraising.  Some evening and weekend commitments will be required as well as the ability and willingness to travel, including overnight, as necessary.

DIRECTOR OF STUDENT ACTIVITIES AND INTRAMURALS

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Student Activities and Intramurals. This student life position oversees the day-to-day development and implementation of various campus programming areas that empower students, provides opportunities for leadership experiences, builds a sense of community, enhances leadership skills, supports academic endeavors and provides a safe living environment for all students. This position will also coordinate and advise the campus-wide student activities programs including the selection, training and supervision of Campus Programming Council members and Intramural Sports Supervisors. The Director of Student Activities and Intramurals will also develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate major campus events such as Homecoming and Family Weekend. This position will also oversee Wildcat Welcome (the new student orientation process) and has the option of living on campus in a one bedroom apartment.

A Master’s Degree in Higher Education or related field is required; along with one-two years of higher education experience (graduate experience is acceptable).

Physics Adjunct Instructor

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, is seeking qualified applicants for an adjunct instructor to teach a two-semester, introductory Physics class for pre-medical and pre-professional students.
The course is a non-calculus, algebra, and trigonometry-based class that will meet three times a week in a blended lecture and lab setting. The Physics classroom is supplied with audio-visual technology for presentations, and the laboratory is modern and equipped with computer-assisted data acquisition instrumentation.

This position requires a Master’s Degree with a background in the physical sciences preferred.

RESIDENT DIRECTOR

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a responsible candidate for the quarter-time position of Resident Director. This is a 10-month, live-in position that plays a key role in the Residence Life’s Department goal of ensuring a living learning environment conducive to the personal development for approximately 550 students living on campus. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: establishing a presence in the hall as a live-in professional staff member, assisting the Community Assistant in assessing the needs of the residents, communicating facility concerns, dealing with problematic situations, and responding to emergency situations as needed. The Resident Director will also participate in an on-call rotation for evening and weekends.

Bachelor’s degree required and 2 years experience working with college aged students preferred. Ability to work on nights/weekends (approximately 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month outside of August and January training seasons).

Compensation includes the provision of a private on-campus living space, a full meal plan and a $2500 annual stipend.
