ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

(Registrar’s Office and Education Department)

Culver-Stockton College is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to work in the Registrar’s Office and the Education Department.  This position will have responsibilities in the Registrar’s Office that will include but are not limited to greeting and assisting office traffic, answering the phone and general office duties, processing transcript requests and maintaining the academic calendar on the website.  This position will also assist with room reservations, preparing orientation materials, opening of school information, and administering standardized-testing programs.
In the Education Department this position will be responsible for assisting in the management of the Teacher Education Program and education majors including file management for all program paperwork, maintenance of certification spreadsheets, communication with majors, and maintenance of all DESE paperwork.  This position will also assist with the placement of student teachers, coordinating major events, assisting with department assessments and assisting departmental faculty with professional membership updates, conference registrations and payments and other reimbursement paperwork.

Qualified applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma plus at least three years of relevant formal training or work experience, bachelor’s degree preferred.  Other requirements include experience with computer software including word processing and spreadsheets as well as excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

ADMISSION COUNSELOR

The Culver-Stockton Admission Office seeks an energetic and dynamic individual to join our professional team.  The full-time, 12-month position of Admission Counselor is responsible for recruiting students for the online and graduate programs, and guiding them through the college selection process.  The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills.  A high energy level, ability to write and speak clearly, and a sense of marketing are valued.  Extensive telecounseling is also required.

A bachelor’s degree and current driver’s license are required, as well as the willingness to travel and work some evenings/weekends.  Position is open until filled.

DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS

Culver-Stockton College, a member of the NAIA and affiliated with the Heart of America Conference (HAAC), is seeking candidates for the Director of Athletics position. The person selected to fill this position will provide leadership, direction and operational management for the Department of Athletics and all aspects of the College’s 18-sport NAIA intercollegiate athletics program. This role is responsible for creating and reinforcing an environment for a competitive and respected intercollegiate athletics program that is committed to a learning-centered academic environment for all student-athletes.

The person selected to fill the role of Director of Athletics will refine the philosophy, guiding principles and strategic goals of the C-SC Athletic Department, which are essential to the department’s success. Through leadership management, the Director of Athletics will build competence in others through effective coaching, performance management and mentoring. As a member of the campus community, the Director of Athletics must have a community-focused strategy to support the College’s mission and goals. This person must also build effective strategic alliances and initiates and develop strong working relationships within the community and surrounding communities. The Director of Athletics will coordinate the College’s athletic recruitment effort, manage the department’s budget, supervise the operation and maintenance of the athletic facilities and work toward building the athletic department’s relationship within the local, Culver-Stockton College campus, and HAAC communities.

Candidates for the Director of Athletics position must have knowledge of the principles of athletic administration, budgeting, personnel management, NAIA rules and regulations, Title IX compliance, gender equity and diversity issues. Demonstrated leadership experience and an understanding of the complexities of managing a private, tuition-driven, NAIA-affiliated Athletic Department is also required.

A bachelor’s degree is required, plus six years of progressively responsible work experience, including a minimum of three years leading and/or supervising the work of others and budget management. Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred

LIBRARY REFERENCE AND TECHNICAL PROCESSING ASSISTANT

Culver-Stockton College is seeking qualified applicants for the part-time Library Reference and Technical Processing Assistant.  This is a 20 hour per week position and will be dedicated to the support of C-SC students and faculty by ensuring that the library catalog is regularly developed, enhanced, and maintained, and that new student office workers are regularly trained in processing/cataloging systems.  Other requirements include but are not limited to supervision of student workers, organization and maintenance of course reserves, provide assistance with library technology and maintain ArcaSearch Megaphone digitization.  Participates in relevant professional development as well as other duties as necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

Qualified applications must have 1-3 years of academic library experience, must be familiar with Millennium and/or Sierra integrated library systems, familiarity with Interlibrary Loan and OCLC as well as the ability to work independently and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.  MLS or comparable degree from an ALA-accredited program preferred.
