ACCOUNTING CLERK


Culver-Stockton College has an immediate opening for a full time Accounting Clerk.  This position is responsible for student accounts receivable including student billing and student account updates and activities to maintain and collect student accounts in an accurate and timely manner.  The Accounting clerk is responsible for customer service to all student financial services customers including but not limited to cash receipting, check cashing while maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere.

Requirements include a minimum of a high school diploma plus at least three years of relevant formal training or work experience, accounting experience preferred.  Also required is experience with computer software including word processing and spreadsheets as well as excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

ADMISSION COUNSELOR

Assistant Director of Alumni & Parent Programs

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Director of Alumni and Parent Programs.  This position reports to the Director of Alumni Programs and assists the Director with all aspects of alumni programming and events, social networking, mentoring programs, alumni based gift campaigns, and communication with alumni.  It will oversee and manage a Parents Council of volunteers to guide the enrichment of the parent experience and provide support and communication for efforts in admissions, career planning/internships, and advancement.  Skills necessary to be successful in this position include excellent oral and written communication, prior major event planning experience, social media marketing experience, ability to multi-task with close attention to detail, proficiency with technology, development of electronic newsletters through Constant Contact, and facilitation skills.

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred with three to five years of event planning and experience working in higher education or a non-profit setting.

CAMPUS SAFETY OFFICER

Culver-Stockton College has an immediate opening for a full time Campus Safety Officer.  This is a 12-month position that will have responsibilities in both security and physical plant.  Work hours for this position will vary and include shifts on days, nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide 24 hour coverage as needed.  During the academic year primary responsibilities will include security work such as securing and opening buildings, conducting investigations, report writing, issuing tickets for policy violations, safety checks, patrols and other assigned duties related to basic maintenance tasks.  During the summer months responsibilities will include working with the physical plant on tasks such as mowing, basic landscaping work, trash removal, painting and assisting other physical plant staff with projects.

The candidate must be prepared for physically demanding activities and must be able to spend long periods of time on their feet and traverse all types of terrain in all types of weather.  Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs frequently, and to lift and carry weights of up to 75 pounds. Excellent teamwork and people skills are critical due to frequent contact and interaction with faculty, staff, and students.  A current driver’s license is required along with computer experience and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.  Must have a strong ability to communicate effectively by radio or telephone in stressful conditions and prior safety/security experience a plus but is not required.

DIRECTOR OF ADVANCEMENT FOR ANNUAL AND LEADERSHIP GIVING

Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Advancement for Annual and Leadership Giving.  This position will be responsible for overseeing the success of the Annual Fund for Student Scholarships including implementation of fundraising strategies, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of current and future donors. A concentration on leadership annual fund gifts will be a priority, while also implementing strategies for growing alumni gift participation rates and support from individual and corporate friends.  An average of five face-to-face donor contacts weekly in addition to phone and email contacts will be expected as well as other duties as necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

Requirements include having completed college coursework in a related field along with experience in relationship-based work such as sales or marketing with an understanding of philanthropy, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Qualified applicants must have a professional background of meeting established goals and objectives in a timely manner related to the areas of sales, marketing or fundraising.  Some evening and weekend commitments will be required as well as the ability and willingness to travel, including overnight, as necessary.

DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS

Culver-Stockton College, a member of the NAIA and affiliated with the Heart of America Conference (HAAC), is seeking candidates for the Director of Athletics position. The person selected to fill this position will provide leadership, direction and operational management for the Department of Athletics and all aspects of the College’s 18-sport NAIA intercollegiate athletics program. This role is responsible for creating and reinforcing an environment for a competitive and respected intercollegiate athletics program that is committed to a learning-centered academic environment for all student-athletes.

The person selected to fill the role of Director of Athletics will refine the philosophy, guiding principles and strategic goals of the C-SC Athletic Department, which are essential to the department’s success. Through leadership management, the Director of Athletics will build competence in others through effective coaching, performance management and mentoring. As a member of the campus community, the Director of Athletics must have a community-focused strategy to support the College’s mission and goals. This person must also build effective strategic alliances and initiates and develop strong working relationships within the community and surrounding communities. The Director of Athletics will coordinate the College’s athletic recruitment effort, manage the department’s budget, supervise the operation and maintenance of the athletic facilities and work toward building the athletic department’s relationship within the local, Culver-Stockton College campus, and HAAC communities.

Candidates for the Director of Athletics position must have knowledge of the principles of athletic administration, budgeting, personnel management, NAIA rules and regulations, Title IX compliance, gender equity and diversity issues. Demonstrated leadership experience and an understanding of the complexities of managing a private, tuition-driven, NAIA-affiliated Athletic Department is also required.

A bachelor’s degree is required, plus six years of progressively responsible work experience, including a minimum of three years leading and/or supervising the work of others and budget management. Master’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred

DIRECTOR OF MEN’S AND WOMEN’S TRACK AND FIELD/CROSS COUNTRY

Culver-Stockton College is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of Director of Men’s and Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country.  C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12-3 academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation.  C-SC fields 18 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC).

In accordance with all NAIA, HAAC and Culver-Stockton College policies and procedures, the position of Director of Men’s and Women’s Track and Field/Cross Country reports to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the entire operation of the track and field, and cross country programs, including (but not limited to) the recruitment of student-athletes, contest scheduling, practice and contest planning, player skill development, academic monitoring, office and budget management and general oversight of a selected athletic facility.

Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred, experience as a successful collegiate coach and ability to recruit and motivate student-athletes.  Also required is a strong commitment to academic success as well as compliance with NAIA and institutional policies and procedures.

LIBRARY REFERENCE AND TECHNICAL PROCESSING ASSISTANT

Culver-Stockton College is seeking qualified applicants for the part-time Library Reference and Technical Processing Assistant.  This is a 20 hour per week position and will be dedicated to the support of C-SC students and faculty by ensuring that the library catalog is regularly developed, enhanced, and maintained, and that new student office workers are regularly trained in processing/cataloging systems.  Other requirements include but are not limited to supervision of student workers, organization and maintenance of course reserves, provide assistance with library technology and maintain ArcaSearch Megaphone digitization.  Participates in relevant professional development as well as other duties as necessary to advance the College’s mission and goals.

Qualified applications must have 1-3 years of academic library experience, must be familiar with Millennium and/or Sierra integrated library systems, familiarity with Interlibrary Loan and OCLC as well as the ability to work independently and to thrive in a fast-paced environment.  MLS or comparable degree from an ALA-accredited program preferred.
