ASSISTANT ATHLETIC TRAINER (Part-Time)

Culver-Stockton College is seeking qualified candidates for the part-time position of Assistant Athletic Trainer.  C-SC offers experiential learning with a 12-3 academic calendar which provides an innovative four-year program of studies and experiences that prepares students for career success like no other college or university in the nation.  C-SC fields 18 NAIA sports which compete in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) and the Mid-American Men’s Volleyball Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MAMVIC).

The Assistant Athletic Trainer will be responsible for providing all aspects of appropriate care, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation for intercollegiate athletes within an NAIA Department of Athletics. The Athletic Trainer is expected to support the mission and values of the College. Reporting directly to the Head Athletic Trainer and the Director of Athletics, the Athletic Trainer provides service to the Athletics Department and may serve as an approved clinical preceptor.

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DINING SERVICES

Culver-Stockton College is accepting application materials for the position of Food Service Assistant Manager.  The Food Service Assistant Manager is responsible for the operation management of assigned residential dining facilities and will assist the Food Service Director to provide a system of quality food production and service for students, staff, faculty, visitors and summer programs.  Responsibilities will also include menu development, customer service, food production, handling and storage, quality control, and health and safety of the department.  The Food Service Assistant Manager must be willing and available to be on campus to provide support as needed for all food service operations on campus.
Qualifications include an associate’s degree in food or culinary management, hotel, restaurant, institutional or hospitality management or related field; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.   Strong experience and demonstrated ability in management in a foodservice establishment is required and experience in higher education is preferred.  Qualified candidates must have a current certification in ServeSafe (HACCP) or must be able to obtain certification prior to employment and must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, and have experience in employee relations and training, sanitation, cost-effective food production, and must have the ability to communicate effectively with the different populations of the campus community.

ASSISTANT FOOTBALL COACH

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Culver-Stockton College seeks to fill a full-time teaching position in Physical Education starting in 2015-16 with a scholar committed to the continued development and implementation of experiential learning and physical education theory, practice, and scholarship.  
Responsibilities will include teaching courses Adaptive Physical Education, Physical Growth and Motor Development, Measurement and Evaluation in Physical Education, PE methods, and other related courses; advising students; supervision of student teachers; and collaboration in ongoing evolution of innovative undergraduate programs.

The scholar appointed to this position will be expected to demonstrate:
•    A focus on discovering new ways to conceptualize, enact, and evaluate experiential learning and education
•    A  range of research methodologies and data, and mentoring students
•    Knowledge of experiential education’s role within the field of instructional theory and design

CAMPUS SAFETY OFFICER

Culver-Stockton College has an immediate opening for a full time Campus Safety Officer.  This is a 12-month position that will have responsibilities in both security and physical plant.  Work hours for this position will vary and include shifts on days, nights, weekends and/or holidays to provide 24 hour coverage as needed.  During the academic year primary responsibilities will include security work such as securing and opening buildings, conducting investigations, report writing, issuing tickets for policy violations, safety checks, patrols and other assigned duties related to basic maintenance tasks.  During the summer months responsibilities will include working with the physical plant on tasks such as mowing, basic landscaping work, trash removal, painting and assisting other physical plant staff with projects.

The candidate must be prepared for physically demanding activities and must be able to spend long periods of time on their feet and traverse all types of terrain in all types of weather.  Must be able to walk/stand for extended periods, climb stairs frequently, and to lift and carry weights of up to 75 pounds. Excellent teamwork and people skills are critical due to frequent contact and interaction with faculty, staff, and students.  A current driver’s license is required along with computer experience and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.  Must have a strong ability to communicate effectively by radio or telephone in stressful conditions and prior safety/security experience a plus but is not required.

DIRECTOR OF CAREER AND INTERNSHIP SERVICES

Culver-Stockton College is hiring for an enthusiastic career development professional to lead and direct the C-SC career education program.  The Director of Career and Internship Services will demonstrate career advising expertise in work with both individual and groups regarding the job search process, career planning, job search strategies, résumé development, internships, career aptitude, professionalism, image coaching and branding, networking, and assessing individual skills, aptitudes and values.  This position will also foster partnerships with local, national and international employers in order to identify employment and pre-professional development opportunities for students and alumni and advise students on issues of major and career choice as well as other duties to advance the mission and goals of Culver-Stockton College.

DIRECTOR OF DINING SERVICES

Culver-Stockton College is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director of Dining Services.  The Director of Dining Services oversees a self-operated dining program that includes residential dining for approximately 800 students that includes multiple sites and menus, conferences/meetings and summer programs.  The Director of Dining Services is responsible for driving sales, controlling costs and enforcing food and physical safety programs as well as contract negotiations and management of food service industry vendors and suppliers.  The Food Service Director must be experienced in running a successful operation in a foodservice establishment and must be willing and available to be on campus to provide support as needed for all food service operations on campus.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in food or culinary management, hotel, restaurant, institutional or hospitality management.   A minimum of five years experience working in a commercial or institutional foodservice establishment dealing with volume cooking, contemporary catering and progressive administrative leadership including personnel and fiscal management and strategic planning with higher education experience preferred.  Qualified candidates must have a current certification in ServeSafe (HACCP) or must be able to obtain certification prior to employment and must be able to demonstrate strong leadership, outstanding hospitality, excellent customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with the different populations of the campus community.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT COORDINATOR

Culver-Stockton College is hiring for a full-time International Student Coordinator that will provide academic advising to international students and be responsible for maintaining the F-1 and J-1 visas and government financial support as well as support in all other areas as necessary.  The International Student Coordinator will be responsible for relationship management and maintaining personal contact with prospective and current students throughout the registration and enrollment process, assist students with obtaining employment after graduation, serve as a Designated School Official for SEVIS and will be the advisor for the International Student Organization.  This position will work the Admission and Financial Aid Office to centralize the financial guarantee processing for international agencies whose governments provide educational funding, and will collaborate with the Admissions Office and Student Life to facilitate and coordinate Orientation for the International Students.  The International Student Coordinator will also arrange tutoring for international students and may serve as a tutor at times, will teach once course each semester, as well as other duties as necessary to advance the mission and goals of Culver-Stockton College.

A Bachelor’s Degree in education, ESL or related field is required along with experience working with diverse populations.  Preferred qualifications included a Master’s Degree in education, ESL or related field along with teaching experience and experience working with college students who speak English as a second language.  Applicants who are fluent in Spanish and/or Arabic are highly encouraged to apply.

RESIDENT DIRECTOR

Culver-Stockton College is seeking two responsible candidates for the quarter-time position of Resident Director.  These are 10-month, live-in positions that play a key role in the Residence Life’s Department goal of ensuring a living learning environment conducive to the personal development for approximately 800 students living on campus.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: establishing a presence in the hall as a live-in professional staff member, assisting the Community Assistant in assessing the needs of the residents, communicating facility concerns, dealing with problematic situations, and responding to emergency situations as needed.  The Resident Director will also participate in an on-call rotation for evening and weekends.

Bachelor’s degree required and 2 years experience working with college aged students preferred.  Ability to work on nights and weekends and will participate in a rotation with 2 other Resident Directors.
