Under an exciting and energetic coaching staff, the Wildcats bring a riveting brand of football each Saturday during the fall semester. The football program at Culver-Stockton has produced six NAIA All-Americans since 1979, and 110 All-HAAC players since 1992. In addition, C-SC has produced 29 NAIA Scholar-Athletes, including Jason Kaiser who was a CoSIDA Academic All-America first team pick in both football and baseball in 1996. Blue team overcomes slow start to defeat White team

The Culver-Stockton College football team concluded its spring workouts with its annual Blue and White Spring Football game Saturday morning at Ellison Poulton Stadium in Canton, Mo.
The Blue team (offense) scored two touchdowns in the second half to overcome a slow start and defeat the White team (defense) 72-51 in a modified scoring system.
Running back Desmond Phillips (23) led the Blue team with 169 yards rushing on 21 attempts. He also scored on a 22-yard touchdown run late in the second half to seal the victory. Phillips averaged eight yards per carry and his longest run was 34 yards.
The Blue team amassed 246 yard rushing in the game. Sean Fuss added 69 yards rushing on 15 attempts to complement Phillips' game.
Quarterbacks Kyle Elmore and Matthew Herman combined for 13 completions for 167 yards passing. Elmore was 7 of 21 for 100 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown pass to Reed Lunsford. Herman, the incumbent, was 6 for 19 for 67 yards.
Lunsford and Luke Hoefs each recorded four completions to lead the Blue team. Lunsford totaled 75 yards while Hoefs netted 31 yards. Eric Rogers had two catches for 36 yards.
Defensively, the White team played well for almost three quarters before appearing to tire in the final quarter.
The White team held the Blue team to just two field goals in the first half, including a stop of the offense inside the 10-yard line. The White team also picked off three passes in the game and recorded 11 pass breakups. Anthony Tuitele, Kenny Jones and Drew Bolhius recorded the interceptions.
C-SC is scheduled to open the 2012 season on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa.
