Bio:
Jack Schrader, formerly of Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo., is in his first season as Wildcat mentor after he was named Culver-Stockton College's 23rd head men's basketball coach on March 4, 2011.
Schrader spent the last 17 years at Truman State University, including the last 16 seasons as the head coach of the Bulldog program.
In 1999, Schrader led the Bulldogs to the program's only trip to the NCAA Division II Final Four. Truman State won 15 straight games that season including the conference tournament championship and regional championship. The Bulldogs then defeated St. Rose (N.Y.) College in the Elite Eight before falling to eventual champion Metro State (Colo.) in the national semifinals. Schrader’s 2005-06 team also qualified for the NCAA Tournament, but was eliminated in the regional quarterfinals by the University of Central Missouri in overtime.
Schrader is a two-time Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Coach of the Year and was the 1998-99 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) South Central Regional Coach of the Year.
Truman State made seven appearances in the MIAA postseason tournament under Schrader. He recorded a 165-274 overall record and was 85-203 in MIAA conference games. He guided the Bulldogs to two 20-win seasons out of the five in school history.
Schrader came to then-Northeast Missouri State University prior to the 1981 season while completing his master's degree and served as a volunteer coach until 1985. He then served as head basketball coach at LaPlata High School and Kirksville High School before moving overseas to coach in Spain. He returned to Kirksville as the full-time assistant coach for the 1994-95 season before being named head coach in June 1995.
A native of Olds, Iowa, Schrader starred at WACO of Olds High School in the late 60’s and early 70’s. He attended Ellsworth (Iowa) Community College for a year before heading to Arizona State for three seasons. As a Sun Devil, he played on two teams that advanced to the "Sweet 16" of the NCAA Tournament and one that made it to the Elite 8. They were Western Athletic Conference champions in 1973 and 1975.
In 1975 he was drafted by the Phoenix Suns, but played professionally in Europe, competing for the Mataro, Cotonificio and Juventud teams in Spain.
Schrader has a bachelor's degree in political science from Arizona State University and a master's degree in sports administration from Truman State.

Bio:
Witherspoon begins his second season as an assistant coach with the Culver-Stockton College men's basketball team.
Brad was a two-year letterman at the University of Kansas and had the honor of being a member of the 2008 National Championship Jayhawk team.
He graduated from KU with a bachelor’s degree in physical education in 2009. While at KU, Brad also served as assistant director of numerous basketball camps, and was also named to the Big 12 Commissioner Academic Honor Roll, the Dean’s Honor Roll, and was a Jayhawk Scholar Athlete.
Prior to coming to Culver-Stockton, Brad worked as the intramural sports supervisor for the University of Kansas and also for the Oklahoma City Thunder, NBA team.
He is a native of Humboldt, KS.
