C-SC's Miehe completes second round
Wednesday, May 16, 2012
Culver-Stockton College freshman Megan Miehe carded an 18-over 91 during the second round of the NAIA Women Golf National Tournament at Link Hills Country Club in Greeneville, Tenn.
Miehe is currently tied for 135th place with two-day total of 181 (90-91) and has at least one more left to play. Fifty-five golfers were still on the course when Miehe finished her round.
Miehe, who carded a 90 on her first day, started her second round with a birdie on the first hole. However, that excitement was short-lived as she recorded a bogey two at the second hole and consecutive bogey's on three and four.
A par at five, two more bogey's at six and seven, a par at eight and a double bogey at nine closed out the first half of the round in 7-over 44.
Miehe recorded first eagle of the tournament on the par five 10th hole as she made the turn, but that was as good as it would get as she recorded a bogey or worse on the final eight holes of her round.
