Education Endorsements
Middle School Education
Students may earn an endorsement in Middle School Education. For more details about earning this endorsement, see the C-SC Academic Catalog.
To complete an endorsement to teach middle school, C-SC students must:
- Choose a teaching specialty for certification
- Complete certification requirements in either elementary or secondary education, including student teaching
- Complete student teaching at the fifth- or sixth-grade level or complete a practicum
- Complete two science courses with labs, remedial reading, and an appropriate math course
- Prepare a professional portfolio to document your undergraduate studies
