Bachelor of Science (BS) in Speech and Theatre Education

If your goal is to teach speech and theatre after graduation, you need to major in speech and theatre education. To earn your bachelor of science degree, you must complete 30 hours of coursework in theatre and communication, including a minimum of 15 hours in speech communication and a minimum of 15 hours in theatre. You must also satisfy all professional education and certification requirements and all other requirements for the college’s BS degree programs. It is strongly recommended that speech and theatre education majors complete endorsement requirements in another teaching area as well.
