Theatre - Competitions & Nominations
With the 2006-07 production season, Culver-Stockton College began participating in the Kennedy Center-sponsored regional theater festival. In the first two seasons, more than 15 C-SC students were selected by ACTF adjudicators attending C-SC productions to compete regionally.
Nominated to compete in the 2008 KCACTF auditions for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarships were:
- Travis Dahlhauser, freshman from Rockford, Ill., and Megan Christy, junior from Vinton, Iowa.
- Daniel Coffman, junior from Eldridge, Iowa, and Molly Glawe, senior from Farmer City, Ill.
- Sarah Breyne, senior from Wenona, Ill., and Whiney Colston, freshman from Neosho, Mo.
- Heather Meyer, senior from Muscatine, Iowa, and Nicole Herrington, junior from Quincy, Ill.
- Sean Meyer, sophomore from Hannibal, Mo., also partnered with Herrington.
- Nick Relic, sophomore from Kansas City, Mo., also partnered with Glawe
- Jessica DeMarco, senior from Riverton, Ill.

Nominated to compete in the 2007 KCACTF auditions for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarships were:
- Sarah Breyne, for her performance as Elizabeth Proctor in “The Crucible.”
- Jessica Demarco, for her performance as Sally Bowles in "Cabaret."
- Eric Downs, for his performance as John Hale in "The Crucible."
- Heather Meyer, for her performance as Catherine in "Proof."
- Bethany Shannon, for her performance as Madame Pace in "Six Characters in Search of An Author."
- Wilhelmina McLafferty, for her performance as Claire in "Proof."
- Michelle Massey, for her performance as The Stepdaughter in "Six Characters in Search of An Author."
- Dusty Little, for his performance as The Leading Actor in "Six Characters in Search of An Author."
Nominated to compete in the 2008 Barbizon Design Competition were:

Nominated to compete in the 2007 Barbizon Design Competition were:
- Eric Downs, costume design for "Proof."
- Anthony Luetkenhaus, light design for "Cabaret."
- Emily Parker, costume designs for "The Crucible," "Cabaret" and "Six Characters in Search of An Author."
*Derryberry received "special merit" for her mask designs for “Pushing Up the Sky.”
In 2008, Culver-Stockton was invited to present a scene during the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. C-SC performed the scene, "The Cannibal Monster," from the April 2007 production of “Pushing Up the Sky.”
