Athletic Training - Internships
A professional internship in athletic training is purely a field experience opportunity. It is similar to the internship program for all other majors on campus and follows the same institutional guidelines. It is designed to expose students to a setting in which they might be interested in working in the future. The student will be placed with an appropriate clinical supervisor however; there are no competencies or proficiencies formally instructed or evaluated during this course.
To be eligible for the professional internship, a student must have reached the second semester of their junior year and have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 (which is also a necessary minimum to remain in good standing in the program).
C-SC athletic training students are in demand for internships because of their high training standards. We have internship sites from which you can choose or you can submit your own program for available.
