American Chemical Society presentation “Chemistry is for the Birds” to be held at C-SC

CANTON, Mo. – Culver-Stockton College will host Dr. Dwight Chasar, active member of the American Chemical Society from Northfield, Ohio, on Friday, April 16 at 7 p.m., in the Science Center, room 208.

Chasar will give a presentation titled “Chemistry is for the Birds,” a power point presentation that will study to beauty and complexity of chemistry and birds. The presentation will discuss the chemical pigments that give birds color, the chemicals that birds uses for survival in the wild, understanding bird dynamics and trying to understand bird migration. It is tailored toward general interest chemists, non-chemists, and junior high, high school, and college students.
