C-SC presents "What's happening in Egypt?"
Thursday, February 10, 2011

CANTON, Mo. -- Why are the people rising up against President Mubarak? How is Mubarak’s government responding to the protests? How should the United States respond to the current crisis?

Please join Culver-Stockton College’s own experts on Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 7 p.m. in the Merillat Recital Hall inside the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center for a forum on the situation in Egypt. Dr. Mohamed El-Bermawy, C-SC professor of chemistry and biology, and Omaima Ebeid, C-SC adjunct professor of mathematics are both from Egypt; and they will share accounts of the current crisis relayed from family and friends in Egypt. Dr. Chad DeWaard, C-SC assistant professor of political science, will provide insights into the challenges facing American foreign policymakers as they respond to this crisis. Audience members will then be invited to ask questions of the panelists.

This event is part of the C-SC Academic and Cultural Events program and is free and open to the public.
