Johnson, whose studies at Culver-Stockton focused on technology, worked for 38 years following his graduation as a computer programmer and, later, as auditor of data processing for his department. “I had the opportunity to meet Don, and through our conversations I really got a sense of just how special Culver-Stockton was to him,” said C-SC Vice President for Advancement and Alumni Programs Eric Barkley. “We are honored by Don’s decision to remember Culver-Stockton through an estate gift; and I think he would be delighted to know that his gift will greatly assist students in pursuing their educational goals,” continued Barkley. Members of Johnson’s family, including his niece Amy Hustead ’03 and nephew Ray Johnson ’08 who are also Culver-Stockton graduates, presented President Valentine with the estate gift during a small gathering held Friday, Aug. 26 on the campus of Culver-Stockton College.
