Homecoming events begin Thursday, Sept. 29 with an Art Gallery Exhibit and reception in the art gallery in Herrick Foundation Center from 6:30-8 p.m. The exhibit will feature work by C-SC alumnus Myles Keough ‘08. The Culver-Stockton College Theatre Department will also present its production “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” at 8 p.m. on Thursday in the Mabee Little Theatre in the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center. On Friday everyone is invited to Merillat Chapel inside the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center for the Distinguished Alumni Panel, held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Hear distinguished alumni Mrs. Evie Anderson ’39, Mr. Scott Cisel ’75 and Mr. Nate Zelinske ’99 discuss life lessons. Also on Friday, the annual golf outing will take place at the Quincy County Club, registration is from 10-10:30 a.m., tee off is at 11. Friday afternoon and evening, Culver-Stockton College will hold its 2011 Education Hall of Excellence reception from 3-5 p.m. at the Lewis Street Playhouse in downtown Canton. The Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet will be held from 6-8 p.m. in the Gladys Crown Center Dining Hall. The Blue and White Mixer for alumni and friends will follow from 8-12 p.m. in the Cat’s Pause on the lower level of the Gladys Crown Center. On Saturday, Oct. 1, Homecoming highlights include the 5K Wildcat Fun Run/Walk with a shot gun start at 7:30 a.m., the Homecoming parade through downtown Canton beginning at 10 a.m., and the Homecoming football game versus Missouri Valley Vikings at 2 p.m. at Ellison Poulton Stadium. Pregame ceremonies begin at 1:30 p.m. Alumni and friends are also invited to take part in a number of new events and activities during Homecoming weekend, including Legacy Land, featuring family friendly games and activities; and Wildcat Palooza, which includes a performance by alumnus “Cheeks McGee” as well as fireworks. Additional Homecoming activities include the Wildcat Huddle Alumni and Friends Cookout, campus tours, and the Distinguished Alumni Honors Banquet.
