Quincy performances planned for Culver-Stockton choral, instrumental groups

CANTON, Mo. – Culver-Stockton College’s choral and instrumental ensembles will take their talents on tour as they perform three concerts Oct. 23 through 24 in Quincy, Ill.
The series begins Sunday, Oct. 23 at First Christian Church during the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Culver-Stockton College Concert Choir will perform under the direction of Dr. Elliot Jones, visiting assistant professor and director of choral activities. On Monday, Oct. 24 the Culver-Stockton College Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band will perform a one hour concert for members of the Quincy Notre Dame High School student body. The performances, under the direction of Dr. Tom Polett, professor of music, and Dr. Trent Hollinger, assistant professor of music and director of bands, begin at 7:45 a.m. Also Tuesday, Oct. 24, the Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band will perform at 11 a.m. at Quincy Senior High School.
