Culver-Stockton chose to honor Caly (Kite) Cramsey ’08 with the Young Alumni Award during the 2012 Homecoming, Paint the Town Blue. The Young Alumni Award is presented annually to one alumnus who has demonstrated progressive career success and commitment to their profession. Cramsey has been very successful in her career, as well as very active in the community.
Cramsey graduated from C-SC with her degree in accounting and finance and is currently a vice president-financial officer at Bank of Quincy, in Quincy, Ill. She was honored by Bank of Quincy in 2011 when they named her the Employee of the Year. Cramsey is active with many organizations, including the Special Olympics. She was a “loaned executive” for United Way, serves on the Career Connection Committee for Young Professionals and is involved with the Quincy-Area Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants.
Since graduating from Culver-Stockton, Cramsey has remained involved with the school. She currently serves on the Business Division Advisory Board for the school. She has also been a mentor to the cheerleading team.
“I was very surprised and flattered when I found out I was being honored this year. The time and donations I give back to Culver-Stockton don’t feel like they have been enough. C-SC made me who I am and got me to where I am. I am thankful and honored,” says Cramsey.
During the Homecoming festivities, there was a banquet to honor Cramsey. She also participated in a Q&A panel for students, the community and local media.
