Position

Deb Myers joined the Culver-Stockton faculty in August 2010. She develops and teaches courses in topics such as drawing, printmaking and painting. She also is the chair of the art and design department, and she is the curator of the Mabee Art Gallery.

Myers previously taught art to junior high school and high school students in the Lewis County C-1 School District for 25 years and taught part-time at Culver-Stockton. She also taught at Canton Elementary School in Canton, Mo., and in Sturgeon, Mo., and she was a teaching assistant at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

She was the recipient of the Helsabeck Prize for Excellence in Teaching at C-SC in 2017. She also was named the Lewis County C-1 Teacher of the Year and the Missouri Art Education High School Teacher of the Year.

Myers is a signature member of the Wyoming Watercolor Society and Missouri Watercolor Society. She also is a member of the Alliance Art Gallery, Hannibal Arts Council, Quincy Art Center, Fulton Art Gallery, Alabama Watercolor Society, Canton Area Arts Council, Gateway Pastel Society, Arkansas Pastel Society, Chicago Pastel Society and Quincy Artist Guild.
