Position

Lane Bloome joined the Culver-Stockton faculty in August 2019. He teaches courses on applied calculus, elementary statistics, introduction to probability, investigations in number theory, introduction to algebraic structures, college algebra and linear algebra.

Bloome is a Bilsland Dissertation Fellow at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., and is working to complete his doctorate in mathematics education at Purdue. He also has worked at Purdue as a graduate teaching assistant and a research assistant. He is affiliated with several national organizations, including the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Mathematics Association of America.

Bloome was inducted into the Pi Mu Epsilon mathematics honor society at Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., and also was a founding member and president of the Millikin Math Club.

Bloome lives in Canton, Mo.
