Position

Dr. Matthew Osborn joined the Culver-Stockton faculty in August 2018. He teaches business courses with topics such as business strategy, organizational behavior, macroeconomics, computer applications in business, microeconomics, project management and leadership.

He previously was an adjunct professor of business at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Fla., and Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tenn.

Before going into higher education, Osborn was the chief information officer for National Auto Care, a national vice president for HUB International, a senior vice president, vice president of operations, assistant vice president and programming manager for Allstate, an information systems specialist at Metro Information Services, a manager of training for ExecuTrain and a minister in the non-denominational Christian Church.

Osborn earned his doctorate in 2020. His dissertation focused on mobile technology adoption and the decision science associated with mobile grocery shopping. Statistics show that consumers' adoption of mobile technology is impacted by the provider's ability to manage product substitutes and continually enhance customer loyalty.

Osborn lives in Canton, Mo.
