Business Department Mission Statement

The mission of Culver-Stockton College Business Department is to prepare business students of promise for successful careers or graduate school through experiential learning and corporate experiences.

About the Program

The Accountancy major prepares students for challenging careers in a field that is constantly evolving. Graduates may choose to pursue careers in management, tax or public accounting, or enter C-SC’s MBA program or other graduate programs. The Accountancy curriculum is designed to provide students with the necessary requirements to sit for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) examination. The curriculum is also designed to fulfill the requirements to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination for students completing the requisite 150 hours through the MBA program.

What Makes the Program Distinctive?

C-SC’s accountancy program gives students the skills employers want. Employers are looking for graduates with strong interpersonal skills, and the accountancy curriculum helps students develop excellent written and oral communication skills. C-SC’s experiential focus also gives students the opportunity to meet CEOs and other corporate leaders, complete a professional internship or travel abroad.
