Dr. Scott Giltner, chair of Culver-Stockton College Applied Liberal Arts and Sciences Division, and holder of the Dr. John A. Sperry Jr. Endowed Chair of Humanities, will present the annual Sperry Lecture at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 in the Merillat Chapel and Recital Hall inside of the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center on the Culver-Stockton College campus. The lecture is offered as part of C-SC’s academic and cultural events program. It is free and open to the public.

On Saturday, April 6 over 40 walkers and virtual walkers participated in the 7 th annual Fallen Officer Walk. Each year, C-SC Criminal Justice students choose a fallen officer to honor and represent during the campaign and walk. The fallen officers chosen this year were from the area that the student calls home. Not only did the students represent their officer who made the ultimate sacrifice, but as part of the class, they also connected to the families of the officer.

As the academic year comes to a close, Culver-Stockton College invites students of all ages and backgrounds to embark on a transformative educational journey this summer through summer classes. The first summer 5-week session is scheduled for May 28 through June 30, with the second 5-week session running July 8 through August 11.

Culver-Stockton College is proud to announce the Student Honors Art Show, a juried exhibition that will spotlight the creations of Culver-Stockton students throughout the 2023-2024 academic year. The show will take place in the Mabee Art Gallery on the C-SC campus. The student honors show will be held Thursday, April 18-Wednesday, May 8, with gallery hours from 6-8 pm and is free and open to the public. During this period, visitors will have the opportunity to experience a variety of artistic expressions, ranging from traditional mediums such as painting and sculpture to innovative digital artworks.

Culver-Stockton College is honored to announce the inauguration of its 28th president, Dr. Lauren B. Schellenberger on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 10 am, within the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center on the College’s campus. This historic event marks a significant milestone in the College’s history and celebrates the beginning of a new era of leadership and innovation. Community members are welcome to attend the inauguration ceremony.

The 2024 Culver-Stockton College Robison Lecture will feature C-SC faculty member Dr. Andy Walsh, professor of religion & philosophy. The lecture will be held on April 15 in The Lab, located on the third floor of the Johann Library, beginning at 7 pm. and will delve into the complex dynamics of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, exploring the intersection of religion and just war theory. This event is free and open to the public.

The education department of Culver-Stockton College held its spring 2024 Mini-Conference for their students on Tuesday, March 26, from 9am-2pm on the Culver-Stockton campus.

Culver-Stockton College has signed a teach-out agreement with Fontbonne University, a private university in St. Louis, MO, that will close at the end of the summer of 2025. The contract offers Fontbonne students a seamless transfer process to Culver-Stockton College to finish their studies. Additional information regarding this agreement, links to applications and to request more information about C-SC can be found at www.culver.edu/fontbonne.

Culver-Stockton College is pleased to announce the upcoming Kraus Lecture featuring distinguished speaker and Culver-Stockton alum, Matt Waldron ’98. The lecture will take place on Monday, March 18, at 6:30 pm in the Merrillat Recital Hall, located inside the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center. This event is free and open to the public.
