Call for Presentations

General Session presentations on a topic of current interest to the Tri-State Development community are typically 40 minutes long (including time for Q&A). Speakers must submit slides for review. General Session talks may run concurrently with other sessions. If there are break-out discussions included in the presentation and the topic is especially compelling, consideration will be given to extending the presentation to 90 minutes in length.

Lightning talks are short presentations, limited to ten minutes, given by attendees at the Summit. This talk format is perfect for sharing your community or organization’s wins and best practices. Inspire action across the region with your story of how a challenge or challenges were overcome that led to powerful and noticeable impact! Or talk about a project that you’re launching and the reason why. If you have a topic that's timely, interesting data to show, or a spur-of-the-moment idea that you would like feedback on, we encourage you to consider submitting it. All Lightning Talk ideas will be reviewed, and the submitter will be notified about his or her submission no later than two weeks prior to the Summit.

Keynote presentations highlight topics of significant interest to the Tri-State Development community. Proposal topics can be diverse ranging from the importance of regionalism to a specific project or program that provides relevant insight to the challenges and opportunities of rural America, including our 36-county region. There will be one keynote presentation selected for the 2023 Tri-State Development Summit, lasting no longer than 50 Keynote presentations may be selected for next year’s Summit as well. The speaker will be asked to submit slides for review.
