Main Street Stroll with a Trolley Ride to Sodalis Nature Preserve
Stroll through the heart of downtown, browse the charming local shops, and soak in the unique atmosphere of Main Street in America’s Hometown. With your exclusive Tri-State Development Summit “Shop Downtown Hannibal” pass, enjoy a complimentary item from one of several participating merchants. Next, hop aboard the trolley to the Sodalis Nature Preserve, a nearly 200-acre park home to over 200,000 federally endangered Indiana bats. Explore this former limestone mine and surrounding caves, offering a rare glimpse into one of the region’s most fascinating natural habitats. While at the park, participants who are interested, can take a side-by-side ride up to the bat cave entrances for a closer view.
5:00 PM
Mingle at the Mark Twain Museum
Kick back and connect with fellow Summit attendees in one of the region’s most iconic settings – the Mark Twain Museum! Just as Twain’s stories brought people together, this evening will be all about sharing ideas, making connections, and enjoying a bit of regional storytelling. Hear behind-the-scenes tales from the museum’s Executive Director, Megan Rapp, and catch up with colleagues from across the region. It’s a chance to experience the spirit of America’s Hometown – where history and community meet.

We are thrilled to announce the launch of 1 Million Cups in the tri-state region!
1 Million Cups is a national program, developed by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, that provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to engage with their communities.
Entrepreneurs, business owners, and community stakeholders come together to share ideas, work through business challenges, and uncover opportunities.
Our initial launch will include alternating meeting locations between Quincy and Hannibal as we work together to build an ecosystem to support local entrepreneurs.
