Current Projects
Tri-State Development Stakeholder Survey
In summer 2022, Tri-State Development initiated a survey to stakeholders in the 36-county region to ask for input on what task forces would be most beneficial in addressing the challenges and opportunities prevalent in our area. The survey results are provided exactly how they appeared in the responses received. They reflect only the opinions of the unidentified respondents and not Culver-Stockton College or Tri-State Development.
Labor Force Dynamics Study
Adjunct instructor Maria Kuhns is working with her Agricultural Economics class to complete a Labor Force Dynamics study for Marion, Ralls, and Lewis Counties in Missouri. The Agricultural Economics class is partnering with Hannibal Regional Economic Development Council to gather information to create a white paper which will be presented to area employers to better understand labor force topics like labor force participation, average wages, commuting patterns, cost of living in Northeast Missouri, and worker utilization of state and federal assistance.
The study will help local employers better understand challenges and realities of their potential employees as well as provide students with experiential learning opportunities and form relationships with local employers.
