Background
Dan Mahoney joined the Culver-Stockton faculty in August 2013. He develops and teaches courses on topics such as sport finance, sports marketing and legal issues of sport. He is the chair of the sport management department.
Mahoney previously was a part-time and adjunct instructor at Quincy University in Quincy, Ill., and the director of physical education, health and intramurals at Midwest Academy in Keokuk, Iowa. He also was an assistant basketball coach at Keokuk High School in Keokuk, Iowa, and at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Ill.
He is a member of the North American Society for Sport Management, the Sport and Society Research Network and the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association.
