Lucus Orndorff

Lucus Orndorff joined the Culver-Stockton faculty in August 2026. He teaches music courses on theory, film music, voices lessons, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, and Treble Ensemble. While at The University of Southern Mississippi (2016-2018 and 2023-2026), Orndorff worked as a graduate assistant for the music department where he taught and assisted music courses on theory, ear training, Concert Choir, University Singers, Spirit of Southern, Chamber Singers, and The Southern Chorale. In addition, he toured nationally and internationally with The Southern Chorale and performed at Carnegie Hall, Norway, Sweden, France, Italy, Latvia, and Estonia.

Orndorff taught at East Central Community College from 2018-2023 as the Director of Choral Activities and 2023-2026 as an adjunct vocal instructor. During this time, he taught music courses on theory, ear training, major and non-major voice lessons, Vocé, Concert Choir, and directed the musical for two years.

Orndorff has served as a board member and volunteer for community theater programs such as Take 1 and Stage 2 that focused on the developmental growth of young performers in the arts. As an avid supporter of the arts, he also has performed himself with the Meridian Symphony Chorus and has played major roles in musicals and plays whether as a main character, ensemble member, choreographer, musical director, or director. Some of his more notable performances were as Jack Kelly in Newsies, Don Lockwood in Singin’ in the Rain, Corny Collins in Hairspray, Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls, Pirelli in Sweeney Todd, Hero in A Funny Thing, and Freddie Fellows in Noises Off.
