Background
Rachel Hansen joined the Culver-Stockton Faculty as Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice in August 2026. She teaches criminal justice and pre-law classes such as Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Business Law and Trial Advocacy. Hansen has taught criminal justice and pre-law to both graduate and undergraduate students at several institutions for the past 20 years. Prior to teaching, she was a judicial clerk for the Fifth Appellate District Court of Illinois, and a prosecutor in the City of St. Louis and in Adams County, Illinois. Hansen also serves at the Culver-Stockton College Title IX Coordinator.
Hansen is a member of the Bar Associations of Missouri and Illinois and serves as a Board Member of the Muddy River Opera Company and as past president of the Quincy Public Schools Foundation.
