Shannon Hillyer

Shannon Hillyer joined Culver-Stockton College in May 2025 as an Admission Counselor. Prior to this role, she worked at Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, and Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. She holds a BFA in Graphic Design with a Professional Writing Certificate and an MA in Art.

In addition to her work in higher education, Shannon is a graphic designer with five years of experience specializing in t-shirt design and production. She has collaborated with New York Times bestselling authors Sarah J. Maas and Ruby Dixon, creating and selling custom merchandise for their audiences. Her creative background also includes working as a cast member for The Walt Disney Company at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida.

Shannon currently resides in Quincy, Illinois, with her cat, Phasma. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, photography, and exploring various crafting projects. She is passionate about travel and has visited numerous U.S. states counting Louisiana and New York, among her favorites, as well as several countries abroad, including France, Germany, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, and Egypt.
