If you want to be the teacher that makes a difference in the physical fitness and wellness of students, then the C-SC Physical Education degree may be the perfect fit. This degree equips you to teach students from kindergarten through their senior year. Through observations and practical experience you will share your understanding of the importance of lifetime fitness and be able to promote the latest trends in your physical education classroom.
The C-SC Difference
Our physical education majors will learn from faculty with practical experience in their own classrooms. We also place you in classrooms beginning your freshman year as an observer and then in new schools in your sophomore and junior years where you not only observe an experienced teacher, but also create and deliver your own mini lessons. As a senior you will have the culminating experience of being a student teacher under the guidance of a master teacher. Four years, four schools. One additional advantage is that we are one of the few schools where you can also earn your Health Education certification, a valued asset when you start looking for your first position.
The Physical Education program at Culver-Stockton College is very hands on and personable. The professors are very involved in their students’ lives in the classroom and out.
