Since 2000, COD has been committed to honoring schools throughout the U.S. for true excellence in higher education. All schools who receive this designation distinguish themselves through their dedicated focus on the undergraduate experience. The COD website provides dynamic college profiles, customized tools and resources to assist parents and students in navigating the undergraduate search process.
Already honored as a COD for its high-impact approach to education, C-SC has received specialized recognition in Business and Education. These additional accolades were borne out of a need for college curricula that are comprehensive not only in course material, but also in practical- and soft-skills development. Culver-Stockton has met these needs with a blend of liberal arts education, program-specific training and abundant opportunities for real-world application. In addition to these endorsements, C-SC was recognized as a top-Missouri and Christian college by COD.
In receiving this distinction President Douglas B. Palmer responded, “Culver-Stockton College has a long-standing tradition of cultivating work-ready graduates that are equipped with distinctively unique experiences. We are tremendously proud of the faculty, staff, students and community that has been fostered on “the Hill” which resulted in this admirable level of distinction.”
While higher education continues to evolve, the selection process from COD has stayed consistent – conducting in-depth research and detailed interviews with the schools themselves about each institution’s freshman experience and retention efforts alongside its general education programs, career development, strategic plan, student satisfaction and more.
Culver-Stockton College was last named a COD from 2015-2018 and is honored to receive this level of distinction for the 2020-2021 academic year. C-SC is one of nine colleges in the state of Missouri receiving this award.
