Discussion about astronomy set for Nov. 13 in Science Center

CANTON, Mo. — Robert Sadler, professor of physical sciences at Culver-Stockton College, will present a talk at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Room 208 of the Science Center about the objects in the night sky that can be seen from the latitudes of Northeast Missouri.

Topics will include planets, asteroids, comets, stars, nebulae and galaxies. The focus will be on a scientific overview of these objects, and it also will include the constellations and their stellar asterisms. Attendees will be given a star map and suggestions for locating constellation asterisms and other bright objects in the sky.

Weather permitting, a sky viewing session will be held after the talk.
