Background

Cheryl Coulson joined the Culver-Stockton staff in August 2024. She serves as the Coordinator of Student Engagement and the Fraternity & Sorority Life Advisor, where she advises all registered student organizations and mentors student leaders. She leads large-scale signature campus events, including Welcome Week and the Hillstock Music Festival, with a focus on fostering community and student connection.

Coulson has nearly a decade of experience in higher education instruction, currently serving as an adjunct instructor for physical education and wellness courses. Before joining C-SC, she served as the Engage Life Coordinator for Curtis Creek Retirement Community in Quincy, IL., and was the Athletic Director for the Boys and Girls Club of Henderson County, NC. She also spent several years as a Recreation Manager for Youth Villages in Memphis, TN.

A 20-year veteran of the sport of rugby, Coulson served as president and captain of women's rugby teams for many years of her career. She lives in Quincy, IL., and is an avid traveler who has visited many places around the world. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, kayaking, hiking, and taking walks with her dog. She also enjoys attending live athletic events.
