Background

David Lane joined the Culver-Stockton faculty in August 2018. He develops and teaches courses on theatre history, oral interpretation, fundamentals of speech, argumentation and debate, interpersonal communication and organizational communication. He also produces and directs two theatre productions each year.

He is involved with the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival, is a national theater program involving 20,000 students from colleges and universities nationwide annually.

Lane previously taught for eight years as a theatre/speech instructor at Muscatine Community College in Muscatine, Iowa. He also was a theatre arts instructor at Parkway West Middle School in St. Louis, a guest director at St. Louis Community College at Meramec and an adjunct instructor in the business department at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. He worked for 17 years as an assistant controller for Precision Foods in St. Louis and as an accounting manager for Kent Feeds in Muscatine.
