Background
Michelle serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Financial Aid office, though her impact extends far beyond her title. Since joining the team, she has become a central hub for student support and the first friendly voice families hear when they call. Michelle does more than just answer questions; she serves as a personal guide, helping families navigate the financial aid journey with ease.
Her path in higher education began at Culver-Stockton College. After a period of raising her family, she returned to the classroom at John Wood Community College in Quincy, Illinois, where she earned her Associate of Arts degree. Michelle eventually "came home to the Hill," bringing a unique perspective as both a former student and a parent to the Financial Aid team.
Michelle is committed to being a calming, helpful presence for every caller and is passionate about streamlining the process. Her goal is to ensure the path from the first phone call but throughout a student's entire four-year journey toward graduation.
A longtime resident of Quincy, Michelle and her husband, Randy, are active members of The Crossing. Outside of the office, she is a proud "Wildcat Mom" three times over. All three of her children are C-SC graduates who have gone on to find great success in their respective career, a testament to the Wildcat tradition she helps other families join every day.
