Background
Robin Jarvis is a faculty member in the Business Department at Culver-Stockton College, where she has been teaching full time since 2023 Her current teaching areas include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Management, Human Resource Management, and Principles of Organizational Structure. Her Management course is included in the Honors cross-curricular offering, and she serves as an advisor to Honors students.
Robin's career at Culver-Stockton spans multiple roles and reflects a long-standing commitment to student success and institutional growth. She began her work at the College in the Admissions Office from 2004 to 2011. After returning in 2014, she administered the College's online programs and later served as Director of Online Programs. In 2013, she held a short tenure in the Registrar's Office before becoming Director of Career and Internship Services, where she worked closely with students on career readiness and professional development. She began adjunct teaching in 2016, offering online and in-person Microeconomics courses before joining the faculty full-time. Earlier in her teaching career, she also taught in the First Year Experience program.
She holds an associate degree in Accounting, a bachelor's degree in Religion and Philosophy, and an MBA with a concentration in Management. Robin is a Certified Experiential Educator, Certified Professional Resume Writer, and Strategic Human Resources Management Certified Professional, credentials that strongly inform her experiential, career-focused teaching approach. In recognition of her contributions, she was awarded the President's Award for Exemplary Service to the College and Community in 2018.
Beyond the classroom, Robin is actively engaged in the local community. She serves on the boards of the Lewis Street Playhouse, the Canton Area Arts Council, and Canton Main Street. She lives in Canton with her husband, Kevin, and is the proud parent of two sons, both alumni of Culver-Stockton College.
