Nursing with Hannibal Regional

Available to students enrolling at C-SC as an incoming first-time freshman after the completion of high school.

Requirements:

• Acceptance to C-SC
• High School CGPA 2.75 or higher on 4.0 scale (without rounding) in science, technology, engineering and math courses or CGPA 2.5-2.74 on a 4.0 scale (without rounding in science, technology, engineering and math courses and ACT of 22 or SAT 1100
• Complete the following high school courses:
  • One year of HS biology
  • One year of HS algebra or higher
    • Recommended: One year of HS chemistry
• Minimum test score on one of accepted exams: HESI Admission Assessment (A2) or ACT/SAT (all currently waived)
  • HESI A2: 80% or higher in sub scores of math and reading
  • ACT: 22 or higher
  • SAT: 1100 or higher

Available to students who have just completed their junior year of high school and will enroll at C-SC as first-time freshman after completion of high school. 

Requirements:

• Acceptance to C-SC
• High School CGPA 3.6 or higher on a 4.0 scale (without rounding) in science, technology, engineering and math courses
• Complete the following high school courses:
  • One year of HS biology
  • One year of HS algebra or higher
    • Recommended: One year of HS chemistry
• Minimum test score on one of accepted exams: ACT or SAT (all currently waived)
  • ACT: 23 or higher
  • SAT: 1130 or higher
• Letters (two) of recommendation
• Deadline to apply: Spring of Junior year of High School

Available to students with at least sixteen (16) or more college credits.

Requirements:

• Acceptance to C-SC
• Meet High School admission criteria (within 5 years) or have at least sixteen (16) transferable college credits* with a college CGPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Recommended college credit should include:
    • PSY 101 - Intro to Psychology
    • BIO 210 - A&P I
    • ENG 101 - Composition I
      • Science credits must be taken within the last 10 years.
• Minimum test score on one of accepted exams: HESI Admission Assessment (A2) or ACT/SAT (all currently waived)
  • HESI A2: 80% or higher in sub scores of math and reading
  • ACT: 22 or higher
  • SAT: 1100 or higher
• Spring transfer admissions for advanced standing will complete the program in 7 semesters
• Summer transfer admissions for advanced standing will complete the program in 6 semesters

• Acceptance to C-SC
• Hold an active, unencumbered Practical Nurse (LPN) license and have no pending disciplinary action (official verification through NURSYS)
• Have at least fourteen (14) transferable college credits* with a CGPA of 2.75 or higher. 
  • Recommended college credit should include:
    • PSY 101 - Intro to Psychology
    • BIO 210 - A&P I
    • BIO 211 - A&P II
    • ENG 101 - Composition I
      • Science credits must be taken within the last 10 years
• LPNs may qualify to receive up to nine (9) credit hours of advanced standing toward the BSN degree requirement:
  • Successfully complete the designated LPN Advanced Placement exams
  • Achieve a score at or above the minimum required benchmarks established by the nursing program.
    • Students who do not meet the benchmark may still progress in the BSN program but will be required to complete the corresponding nursing courses in full.
