Fire For Effect, an ensemble with the 135th Army Band of the Missouri Army National Guard from Springfield, Mo., will be performing a high-energy rock show at 7:30 p.m. April 30 at the Alexander Campbell Auditorium on the C-SC campus.

CANTON, Mo. – Fire For Effect, an ensemble with the 135th Army Band of the Missouri Army National Guard from Springfield, Mo., will be performing a high-energy rock show at 7:30 p.m. April 30 at the Alexander Campbell Auditorium on the campus of Culver-Stockton College.

The stop in Canton is part of the band’s 2019 “MO Farewell Rock Tour.” The show is expected to last about 45 minutes. It is free to attend.

Fire For Effect consists of eight musicians:

Sgt. 1st Class Roger Kirchner, guitar;

Staff Sgt. Sid Whiting, bass;

Sgt. Rebecca Cox, lead female vocals and keytar;

Sgt. Dakota Fletcher, drums;

Sgt. Graham Haerther, sound and light technician;

Sgt. Keith Moyer, organ and trumpet;

Sgt. Dusty O’Neal, sound and light technician;

Spc. Zachary Nickerson, lead male vocals and acoustic guitar.

The 135th Army Band is under the command of Chief Warrant Officer 5 Robert Springer, and Acting 1st Sgt. Roger Kirchner is the unit’s enlisted leader. Federally organized on November 13, 1947, the unit’s mission is to provide music throughout the full spectrum of military operations and instill in soldiers the will to fight and win, foster the support of our citizens and promote our national interests at home and abroad.
