Culver-Stockton College recently hired Lane Bloome as an assistant professor of mathematics. Bloome is a Bilsland Dissertation Fellow at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., and expects to complete his doctorate in mathematics in October 2019.

CANTON, Mo. – Culver-Stockton College recently hired Lane Bloome as an assistant professor of mathematics.

Bloome is a Bilsland Dissertation Fellow at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., and expects to complete his doctorate in mathematics education in October 2019 at Purdue. He also has worked at Purdue as a graduate teaching assistant and a research assistant. He is affiliated with several national organizations, including the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics and the Mathematics Association of America.

Bloome received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics in 2013 from Millikin University in Decatur, Ill., where he was inducted into the Pi Mu Epsilon mathematics honor society. He also was a founding member and president of the Millikin Math Club. He received his master’s degree in mathematics education from Purdue in 2015.
