Culver-Stockton College is proud to announce the awarding of promotion to five members of faculty. These individuals have been recognized for their overall excellence and commitment to developing students of promise at C-SC.

“The decision to award promotion and granting of tenure to these individuals came as a result of extensive reviews by faculty colleagues. I am proud of our faculty for the level of excellence they have provided. Their contribution to our students and the C-SC community has not gone unnoticed and are well deserving of these promotions,” President Douglas B. Palmer stated in the naming of these awards.

The five faculty members receiving promotion are: Ms. Joni Fusselman, Mr. John Reinhardt, Dr. Lauren Schellenberger, Mr. Brian Walker, and Dr. Cindy Whiston.

Fusselman ‘06 has been a valued member of the education faculty since 2016 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in Education. She holds Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education from C-SC, a Master of Education in Curriculum, Instruction, and Learning from University of Missouri-Columbia and is currently working towards her Doctorate of Education in Reading, Language and Literacy from Concordia University-Chicago.

Reinhardt has provided instruction in the fields of accounting and finance at C-SC since 2016 and recently received a promotion to Senior Lecturer in Accounting. Reinhardt is a certified CPA and obtained both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Accountancy from Truman State University.

Schellenberger has served C-SC since 2008 in various roles with an educational focus in biology and was most recently named Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs . In addition to this promotion, she has received the title Professor of Biology. Schellenberger received her B.S. in Crop Science from the University of Illinois; an M.S. in Botany and Plant Pathology and Ph.D in Biology Education, both from Purdue University.

Walker received promotion to Senior Lecturer in Physical Education and has been serving C-SC since 2015. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Eastern Illinois University and M.S. in Educational Administration from Concordia University Chicago.

Whiston was granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor of Education. She has served the Education Department at C-SC since 2015 and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from University of Missouri-Columbia. Whiston received her Master of Education, Specialist of Education, and Doctorate of Education from William Woods University.
