Culver-Stockton College (C-SC), a private liberal arts college offering 80 major and minor undergraduate tracks and four graduate degrees, will hold the third annual Honors Choir Day on Oct. 11 on the campus.

The day will begin at 9 a.m. with check-in and a rehearsal at 9:15 a.m. A free lunch and campus tours, provided by music faculty and staff, will be held at noon, followed by another rehearsal at 1:30 p.m. The concert is slated to begin at 3:10 p.m.

Performers set to sing at the event were selected by C-SC choir directors. There is no charge to attend the performance for students in grades 9-12 from invited schools including: Brashear High School, Canton High School, Highland High School, Knox County High School, Macon High School, Marion County High School, Monroe City High School, Palmyra High School, and South Shelby High School, all in Missouri; Central Lee High School, Keokuk High School and Washington High School, all in Iowa; and Illini West High School, Macomb High School, and Payson-Seymour High School, all in Illinois.

“We are thrilled to bring back the Honors Choir Day to showcase student talent and highlight the wonderful fine arts program we have here on campus,” said Amy K. Stollberg, interim director of choirs. “It is going to be a great day featuring an amazing group of singers.”

Dr. Dylan Marney, division chair of the C-SC fine, applied, and literary arts department, is accompanying the choir on piano.
