Continuing a proud family tradition of local giving and community support, Culver-Stockton College alumnus Drew Horner ’16 recently made a $1,000 contribution to support student scholarships and the Wildcat golf program.
Horner, who earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from C-SC, is a former member of the Wildcat golf team and an alumnus of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Having recently taken over the local Shelter Insurance agency in Canton previously operated by his father, Richard Horner, Drew is stepping into his father’s footsteps both professionally and philanthropically.
His donation builds directly upon his family’s long-standing connection to the College. In 2025, his parents, Richard and Kristy Horner, made a matching $1,000 gift to support student financial aid and mentorship programs. For Drew and his wife, Hannah, contributing to the College is a way to ensure future generations of Wildcats receive the same opportunities and community support that shaped his own collegiate journey.
“Maintaining the legacy of community support for Culver-Stockton that my dad started is deeply meaningful to me,” said Horner. “From my experiences on the golf team to the bonds made in Lambda Chi Alpha, my time on the Hill helped prepare me for my career. Giving back to support student scholarships and the golf team is my way of making sure future Wildcats have those same transformative opportunities.”
Contributions from alumni and local business leaders play a vital role in funding experiential learning, athletic programs, and essential scholarship aid that helps students thrive at Culver-Stockton College.
