CANTON, Mo. — An exhibition of art created by Laura Bigger will be on display at the Mabee Art Gallery in Merillat Hall on the Culver-Stockton College campus through Oct. 4.

Bigger is an assistant professor of art at Truman State University in Kirksville, Mo. She previously taught at the University of Nevada-Reno and Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn. Originally from Boulder, Colo., Bigger received her bachelor’s degree in studio art and hispanic studies from Colorado College in 2008 and her master’s degree in printmaking from the University of Minnesota in 2013. She has exhibited her work nationally.

Bigger says her work explores the relationships that exist among humans, animals and ecosystems, particularly in terms of the food chain, raw materials, and the human tendency to exert control over natural systems.

Gallery hours are Monday through from Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with other times available by appointment.
