Lecturer of Counselor Education/School Counseling Program Chair
Background
Dr. Moore joined the Culver-Stockton faculty in May 2024. He is currently a Lecturer of Counselor Education and the school counseling program chair. Dr. Moore is a licensed school counselor in Kansas and Texas, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in Kansas, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Dr. Moore has served as adjunct faculty in the Department of Psychology and Counseling at Pittsburg State University (KS) and Adams State University (CO). Dr. Moore has been a professional school counselor at both middle school and high school levels. He is currently a practicing school counselor in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Moore also works part-time for the Kansas Department of Education as a school counseling leader consultant. Dr. Moore serves on the board of the Kansas School Counselor Association as well as the Kansas School Mental Health Advocacy Day committee.
Dr. Moore earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from Adams State University in 2024, an Educational Specialist degree in Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri in 2020, a Master of Education in Counseling in 2015 from Wichita State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Pittsburg State University in 2012.
He lives in Wichita, Kansas, with his two cats, Sebastian and Kennedy. He enjoys CrossFit, running, hiking, reading thrillers, eating ice cream, and spending time with friends and family. In his free time, he likes trying new restaurants, going on road trips, and drinking coffee at his favorite coffee shop.
