Every year, the Department of Education distributes $150 billion in federal student aid through grants, loans, and work-study. Most students qualify, but in order to get your share of these funds for college, you need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, otherwise known as the FAFSA. Traditionally, you can begin completing the FAFSA as early as October 1, prior to the next school year. However, according to the Department of Education, the 2024-25 FAFSA will be available in December 2023 due to the new FAFSA release, and because FAFSA funds are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis, you want to complete the form as soon as possible.

Complete the Application

The FAFSA is available online at You can complete, submit and track your application online. This is the EASIEST WAY TO APPLY FOR FEDERAL AID. You file the form and we take it from there to maximize the aid from federal and state sources.
