Residence Halls

Here is a checklist to help you plan for your move into one of our residences along with items that should be left at home.

• Clothes and hangers - expect to experience all four seasons because the average temperature in August is 86℉ while in January the daily high is only 35℉ and you can expect snow!
• Medication
• Toiletries and a small bucket or caddy to carry them
• Laundry supplies
• Pillows, sheets, and blankets (for an extra-long twin, 39"x80")
• Waste basket
• Desk lamp that is not halogen
• Towels and washcloths
• Small tacks or Command strips for posters/wallhangings
• Computer
• Small fan

Consult with your roommate(s) on the following as there is a limit of one per room:

• Microwave
• Refrigerator (Limit 4.6 cubic feet)
• Television

Please leave the following items at home as they are not allowed on campus for safety reasons:

• Hot plates, frying pans, or toaster ovens
• Candles or incense
• Pets other than fish
• No bed lofts, but bed risers may be used
• Full-size refrigerators and microwaves
• As noted in our student handbook, the Cat Tracker, no weapons of any kind,illegal drugs, or prohibited alcohol
• Halogen lamps or space heaters
• Air conditioners (our halls are air conditioned)
• Fireworks
