Culver-Stockton College (C-SC), a private liberal arts college offering 80 major and minor tracks, has named 122 students to Honor’s List for the spring 2024 semester.

Undergrad students completing their literacy coursework are being trained in Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS ® ) Vol. 1. The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) is funding the training as part of their comprehensive plan to improve student literacy across the state.
READ MORECulver-Stockton College junior and musical theatre major Megan Eaton has accepted an apprenticeship at Theatre Aspen in Aspen, CO for the 2024 summer season. She will be an apprentice in lighting. Apprentices reside in the spectacular mountain setting of Aspen, for the entirety of the Theatre Aspen summer season. The theme for the theatre’s summer performances is “Celebrating Resilience: Tales of Triumph and Strength” and features a variety of plays including Steel Magnolias and Legally Blonde the Musical.

Sperry Jr. Endowed Chair of Humanities, will present the annual Sperry Lecture at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23 in the Merillat Chapel and Recital Hall inside of the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center on the Culver-Stockton College campus. The lecture is offered as part of C-SC’s academic and cultural events program. It is free and open to the public.
READ MOREOn Saturday, April 6 over 40 walkers and virtual walkers participated in the 7 th annual Fallen Officer Walk. Each year, C-SC Criminal Justice students choose a fallen officer to honor and represent during the campaign and walk. The fallen officers chosen this year were from the area that the student calls home. Not only did the students represent their officer who made the ultimate sacrifice, but as part of the class, they also connected to the families of the officer.

The first summer 5-week session is scheduled for May 28 through June 30, with the second 5-week session running July 8 through August 11.
