Background

Jennifer Bock-Nelson joined the Culver-Stockton faculty in August 2024. She teaches all levels of drawing and painting along with an art history survey course covering the Renaissance. She is director in Quincy, Illinois. tor of the Mabee Gallery and chair of the art department. Jennifer received the Blue Apple Teaching Award in 2025.

Bock-Nelson exhibits nationally and has won exhibition awards at the Rockford Art Museum, Evanston Arts Center, and Quincy Art Center. She is known locally for her murals in Quincy, Illinois. Bock-Nelson is the recipient of grants through Illinois Arts Council and Arts Midwest. Her artist residencies include Ox-Bow, Vermont Studio Center, and Ragdale.
