Background

Dr. Kim Gaither serves Culver-Stockton College as the Interim Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. Originally hired as a faculty member in the business department in August 2003, she is also a Professor of Finance and continues to teach undergraduate finance and MBA courses.
Gaither received the Helsabeck Prize for Excellence in Teaching in 2008, the Presidential Service Award in 2012, the Faculty/Staff Organizational Advisor of the Year in 2011, and the Wildcat Faculty-Staff Award in 2016-17. She was selected to be a member of the Senior Leadership Academy of the Council of Independent Colleges in 2019-20.
Prior to her appointment as Interim Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs, Gaither served as the Vice President for Enrollment Management from 2019-2023. Gaither served as the Associate Dean for Student Success and Retention where she directed retention efforts, FYE activities, developmental courses, and the launch of Success Coaches and the First Gen Program. She also served as the Division Chair for Business Education and Law from 2012-2018. In both 2011 and 2021, she chaired the HLC Committee for Reaccreditation for the college.
Gaither lives in Canton, Mo. with her husband, David, a 1979 alum of the college along with their family.
