Background
Dr. Mike Seale is serving as Culver-Stockton College's Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Dr. Seale will help the College continue to excel in offering students a quality education at an affordable cost while also overseeing the co-curricular aspects of student life in providing our distinctive experiential curriculum within a supportive learning community.
Dr. Seale has a passion for liberal arts education and his experience as a student, faculty member, and administrator at small liberal arts institutions has strengthened his support for this type of education environment. In addition to his leadership responsibilities, the provost will work to create a unified vision and implement strategies to boost the entire student experience, aiding in retention, student success, student satisfaction, and achievement of learning outcomes.
Dr. Seale previously served as Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs at Lindsey Wilson University (Columbia, KY). Dr. Seale brings extensive leadership experience to the role. At Lindsey Wilson he served as the accreditation liaison to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), managed state authorization in six states, oversaw the assessment program for the entire university, and was responsible for submitting compliance data to federal and state agencies. Dr. Seale was also active with SACSCOC, having served as a peer reviewer for other colleges and universities.
