Current M.Ed. student and Culver alum, Juan Martin ’10, will speak about his decision to return to school to pursue an education degree so that he could teach the youth in his community in the Ferguson-Florissant area in St. Louis. Juan has expressed the need for positive role models for young people in his community and how he felt called to be one of those leaders. Now he is teaching, coaching multiple sports, and working to complete his M.Ed. degree in an effort to fulfill that mission. He will share his experiences. During his time at C-SC, Juan majored in sports management and played football.
