Master of Education

Creating Transformational Educational Leaders

The Master of Education (MEd) program is 100% online and designed to serve a variety of educators and potential educators!  As a teacher entering a curriculum and instruction master’s program, you can expect to gain a much deeper background on content knowledge, teaching styles, the psychology behind learning, and reflective teaching practices. If you are a practicing teacher who wishes to further your knowledge of curriculum and instruction, Culver-Stockton College’s traditional Master of Education pathway will provide you the flexibility to complete your master’s degree while continuing to teach.

If you are a practicing elementary or early childhood teacher who is seeking certification as a Title I Reading Teacher, Reading Interventionist, or a Reading Instructional Coach, then our Special Reading Certification curriculum within our Master of Education program is designed to meet your goals. Missouri law requires teachers to take coursework to receive a Special Reading Certificate to be eligible for reading positions at your school. Earn the certificate and then with additional coursework you may earn our Master of Education degree.

Are you someone who initially earned your degree in another field but has now discovered a passion for teaching?  The Alternative Certification specialization pathway in our Master of Education program is designed to provide professionals the opportunity to earn a teaching certificate to teach in Missouri or another state. Use your professional experience and expand your knowledge in education to contribute to the teaching profession. Obtaining a provisional teaching license will allow you to teach while also earning your MEd.
