Meet the Course Designer: Kristen Thurman, Bs, MPT, pt, cws

Kristen is the Vice President of Product Management & Clinical Affairs at Agiliti Health, Inc.

As a licensed physical therapist (25+ years) and a certified wound specialist (20+ years), her experience spans all healthcare settings from provider and industry perspectives. She has published and lectured on topics including wound care, pressure injury prevention and treatment, and support surfaces. 

Kristen is the immediate past Chair of both the Support Surface Standards Initiative Committee and the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America Support Surfaces Committee. She is an expert member of the International Standards Organization for Assistive Products for Tissue Integrity and also serves as a Panel Member and a past Board Liaison of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel.
